Dr Pace Dimech joined Lex Group as a legal trainee in 2016, where she assisted in research and litigation. Following her admission to the bar in Malta in 2018, after successfully completing her studies at the University of Malta, she took on the role of a practicing lawyer within the firm, assisting both local and international clients. She is now an associate within the firm.
Dr Pace Dimech holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree, a post graduate diploma in Notarial studies and a Doctorate Degree in law. Her doctoral thesis focused on the provisions of the Lanzarote Convention, a Council of Europe Charter on children’s rights. It analyses the mechanisms of the Committee regulating this Convention and the legal procedures involved. It also reviews the substantive articles of the Conventions, culminating into detailed recommendations.
Dr Pace Dimech is currently reading for a Master of Arts Degree in Mediation at the University of Malta.
During her legal career, Dr Pace Dimech had the opportunity to garner hands on experience in legal drafting and the transposition of European Union law into domestic legislation.
In 2014 she was appointed to serve on the National Law Commission, tasked to review Maltese Legislation and propose amendments thereto. She has also served as a Secretary to the Transfer of Residence Exemption Board (TORE) and was legal assistant at the Malta Legislation Unit, where she was tasked to draft legislation and oversee the implementation of the transposition of European Union legislation into Maltese law.
At Lex Group Legal, Dr Pace Dimech assists clients in dispute settlement, administrative matters and commercial negotiation. She also acts as legal advisor to the office of the Accountant General.
She is a member of the Chamber of Advocates, the local Bar Association, and is currently a Board Member on the Audit Commitee of the Malta Gamimg Authority
